Al-Qaeda calls on Obama to embrace Islam and the withdrawal of troops from Iraq and Afghanistan

The organization al-qaeda in Iraq issued a statement on Friday addressed to U.S. President-elect Barack Obama, the new administration.

It was a tape with a total duration of 22 minutes on several Web sites sympathetic to the «base».

The video contains an audio message to Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, the leader of the so-called Islamic State in Iraq, a subsidiary of «base».

The U.S. military said on Friday that al-Baghdadi is a «just the voice of a propaganda».

The statement calls voice that bears his name the U.S. administration and its allies from Western leaders to «convert to Islam» and to withdraw their military forces from Iraq, Afghanistan and release Muslim prisoners in Iraq and Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.

When compared to previous statements from this group, this statement is the yen, which calls on America to return to what he termed «neutral».
